Ayatollah Khamenei Reportedly in Coma and Seriously ill Bad News for Iran

Speculative reports from Tehran suggest that Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has fallen into a coma and is in a "seriously ill" condition.

Mojtaba Khamenei, the second son of Iran's Supreme Leader, was reportedly chosen during a confidential September 26 meeting of the Assembly of Experts to potentially succeed his father. The decision, allegedly made under significant pressure from Ayatollah Khamenei and his representatives, required the 60-member assembly to reach a consensus.

Unverified social media claims suggest that Ayatollah Khamenei has fallen into a coma, though no official confirmation about his health has been made. His last public appearance was on November 7, when he addressed the Assembly of Experts during a session at the Imam Khomeini Hussainiyah.

Earlier on Saturday, reports emerged claiming that Khamenei had fallen into a coma. These rumors followed an October report by The New York Times, which stated that the Supreme Leader is “seriously ill.” However, Iranian authorities have not released any official statements confirming or denying these claims.

These alleged developments come as the Iranian regime faces increasing internal and external pressures, underscoring efforts to maintain control amid mounting challenges.
